TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) is an industry specific security framework developed for the automotive industry on behalf of the German Automobile Industry Association (German VDA).
TISAX is built on the foundations of ISO 27001 and designed to meet the unique information security needs of the automotive supply chain.
As part of the TISAX process, organisations are assessed according to a list of criteria based on the type of client information they have access to. On successful completion of the TISAX audit, organisations are awarded the TISAX label which demonstrates to OEMs that they meet the TISAX requirements and are a reliable partner within the automotive supply chain.
- The TISAX label demonstrates to stakeholders that your organisation has the necessary systems and controls in place to manage sensitive data.
- The TISAX label gives you access to VDA members who work exclusively with TISAX labeled suppliers.
- TISAX Assessments are conducted by accredited audit providers who are required to demonstrate their qualifications at regular intervals.
- TISAX audit providers utilise standardised audit results that are acceptable throughout the automotive industry.
- TISAX assessments are only required every 3 years, unlike similar standards which require an annual assessment.
Beam Advisory offers an 'audit ready' service, whereby we work with organisations to develop and implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS), and conduct an internal assessment to ensure your organisation is audit ready. Typically this process takes between 6 to 12 months. Beam advisors will then assist your organisation through the audit process, whereby the services of a TISAX-certified auditor will be required.
Once an organisation has implemented their ISMS and awarded the TISAX label, they are required to continually improve their ISMS to ensure its ongoing effectiveness. To assist with this, Beam offers a managed service whereby we monitor the effectiveness of the ISMS and work with your organisation to ensure its on going improvement.
